As part of the SANDAG Uptown Bikeways project; a significant amount of landscaping and also additional lighting will be placed on Fourth & Fifth Avenues. Below are renditions of the proposed Bankers Hill Landscape Plan. The Uptown Parking District will be contributing $1.2 million dollars to the project.
The Metro San Diego Community Development Corporation will meet on February 11, 2019. from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the 10th floor conference room of the Manchester Financial Center, at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Laurel Street in Bankers Hill. Two of the items that will be on the Metro San Diego CDC agenda for February 11th meeting will be:
1.) An update by Tom Fox and Chris DeMoville, of the Uptown Community Parking District, about the status of the SANDAG 4th & 5th Avenue Bike project, and also an update about parking stripping changes in Bankers Hill;
2.) Jake Sutton, of the Bankers Hill Business Group, will provide an update about the Bankers Hill Arts & Craft Beer Festival being held in March 2019, which the Metro San Diego CDC and the Bankers Hill Business Group will partner.

The next meeting of the Metro San Diego CDC will be Monday, November 19th, from 4:00-5:00 p.m., in the 10th floor conference room of the Manchester Financial Center. Among the items on the agenda will be:
1.) The Mayor’s proposed dockless scooter regulations. They have been reviewed by a City Council subcommittee, and will soon be going before the full City Council. This is an issue that Metro San Diego CDC members have expressed an interest about in the past; the Metro San Diego CDC may make recommendations regarding the proposed regulations. Public comment regarding the proposed regulations is welcome; either at the meeting or in writing prior to the meeting.
2.) Diana Lucero, Director of Media and Public Relations for the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, will provide an update about what is happening at the San Diego International Airport.
