Metro San Diego CDC Meetings Will Resume in January 2021

Wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. The year 2020 has been an eventful and difficult year. Unfortunately, we have seen civic activity, and a substantial amount of economic activity, impaired in San Diego as a result of the epidemic. Restaurants and other storefront businesses have been particularly hard hit. Hopefully, 2021 will be a year of recovery and economic growth.
The Metro San Diego Community Development Corporation will resume meeting in mid-January of 2021. It is possible the initial meetings will take place utilizing Zoom conferencing. Among the projects the Metro San Diego CDC will focus on is the creation of a maintenance assessment district (“MAD”) along 4th and 5th Avenues and adjacent areas. The MAD will provide additional lighting and security, and will also maintain the landscape and streetscape improvements that are being placed along Fourth and Fifth Avenues as part of the Uptown Regional Bicycle Corridor project, which is now under construction.
It has been a rough year, but as has been said: “Every situation in life is temporary. So, when life is good, make sure you enjoy and receive it fully. And when life is not so good, remember that it will not last forever and betters days are on the way.”
